Hotel de Ouro Preto às margens do Rio Tripuí, onde
foi encontrada a primeira pepita de ouro preto. Cinqüenta anos
depois, na primavera, Niemayer
deu início a um novo projeto de adaptação e ampliação do
hotel.

strong lines, the architect Oscar Niemeyer projected
the Grande Hotel de Ouro Preto in the early 40’s on the
edge of Tripuí River, where the first gold nugget had been found.
Fifty years later, in spring, Niemeyer started a new
project for remodeling and expanding the hotel.
